The Problem:

As parents, we would frequently be asking ourselves this common question; where can we go with the kids that caters to our whole family (hence family friendly)? The questions would come up with our travels, picking up the kids from school, or simply when we didn’t feel like cooking. Although it seemed more prevalent when it came to picking out restaurants, it was also an issue with family activities, and family friendly lodging. Our biggest issue, however came with businesses who claim to be family friendly only to find out that their idea of family friendly was very different from our idea of family friendly. Surfing the web for family friendly things to do is too time consuming. We need to find information fast! These problems became the inspiration of My Family Guide.


The Solution: 

My Family Guide was created not only to be a resource and directory but a personal guide to find family activities, restaurants, lodging or businesses that incorporate the family. You will no longer have to surf the web and sift through countless sites to find family friendly restaurants, fun things to do with your family, or find family friendly activities when your away from home. What is My Family Guide?

 My Family Guide is a directory to find family friendly restaurants, family activities, and lodging. It is a resource for you to connect with family activities and family fun. It is also a repository of recommendations from families in our local areas who desire to help other families find family friendly activities and family fun fast! Finally, it is an opportunity for local businesses to advertise their family friendly atmosphere to the general public. As most parents know, not all businesses have families in mind. My Family Guide helps to define the term “family friendly”. My Family Guide requires each business to fill out a questionnaire that is used to generate our search engine. So, each family can pick what amenities are important to them when searching restaurants, fun activities, or lodging.
